Funtastic Shows New Thrill Ride Vertigo to Debut at Puyallup Fair
Funtastic Shows, the traveling carnival that makes its yearly circuit at the Puyallup Fair, will offer a new and exciting thrill ride for enthusiasts who like to whirl at amazing heights. Orbiting around a 100-foot tower at 30 miles per hour, Vertigo offers thrill seekers a dizzy-licous ride. Though similar to its cousin in Canada at the PNE/Playland, the ride was manufactured by ARM Rides in Ohio. The Puyallup Fair states it is NOT part of the Comcast Dizzy Pass Ride (both Extreme Scream and Vertigo are excluded on the ride bracelet). However, if you buy the Value Pack at Fred Meyer in participating Western Washington stores by 9/9, it is part of their ride deal (you get any six rides-except Extreme Scream; 10 food bucks and 2 gate tickets for only $33.95). The Fair is also offering Monday Madness on Sept. 12, with half price rides, games and select food items. To read more about this new attraction download the following pdf file Vertigo.

After Tofte got a loan to buy 20 acres, and set about building his first creation, Peter Pumpkin Eater, his co-workers at the state Highway Department would ask him how things were going on “the funny farm.” Some even called it “Idiot Hill.” But who was laughing Monday, 40 years to the day since the Enchanted Forest theme park opened for business? The kids, that’s who. To read more visit Register Guard.com. To view photos from the event visit: Enchanted Forest's 40th Anniversary | Facebook.com
